up .5 pounds, Meh... and this weekends plans

scale said 183 pounds, up .5 pounds... Is it really true that your muscles tear when you do strength training and weights and they hold on to water to repair? That is what it is then! Next Friday is a new week and I should be working on level 2 of my 30 day shred. Tomorrow is a shopping day with my aunt, when we go shopping we can be gone walking around for Hours and hours, I hope to burn allot of calories. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

  2. I don't know if "tear" is the correct word. A tear is an injury. They get stressed and while trying to repair and try to prepare for what may some, they get thicker and multiply. They will retain water when any new exercise program is started. They plump up from the excess water. That's why people might think they are gaining muscle right away, but they're really not. Gaining muscle actually takes quite a long time.

  3. lol! OOOPS! The muscle fiber multiplies, not the muscles themselves. Can you imagine what we would all look like if muscles multiplied. LOL!

  4. First visit to your blog and I'm so impressed with the amount of weight you've lost. I've been doing the 30 day shred off and on and I can't seem to get to Level 2.

I don't use weights much. I have big shoulders and arms and I'm always scared I'll end up looking like hulk. Just started using the 5 pound weights with the shred. I'll have to read more about using weights.
